The work of a carer at ZfP Reichenau is varied and individual - just like our patients. We work together in multi-professional teams to ensure the well-being of our patients. We want to provide the best possible quality of care and treatment for the people entrusted to us. The nursing department plays a crucial role in this. After all, who knows our patients better than those who care for them around the clock?

Building relationships, providing care, nurturing with words and deeds, accompanying in everyday life and supporting in difficult situations - that is the task of our carers. As a carer, you make an essential contribution in the various facilities of the ZfP Reichenau.
The work involves caring for and looking after adults, the elderly, addicts, mentally impaired people or people with psychoses. You will always work hand in hand with the medical department.

With our trainee programme, we not only prepare all newcomers optimally for a job in the field of psychiatric nursing, but also make it easier for them to network professionally and personally on site.
In addition, we offer a wide range of further and advanced training opportunities in the field of nursing, such as de-escalation courses, emergency training, seminars on the application of nursing processes in practice and much more. Each ward has its own training budget for this purpose. akademie südwest also offers many digital options for further training that is independent of location and time.

The wards and departments at ZfP Reichenau are managed on a dual basis, i.e. one medical and one nursing specialist form the management level together. They coordinate with each other, make overarching decisions together and are the point of contact for employees. Nurses from abroad – your path to recognition
We know that starting out in a new country raises many questions.
ZfP Reichenau supports international care workers through the recognition process. Our integration team will help you with the necessary steps and will be on hand to assist you throughout the entire process. Together, we’ll create the best possible conditions for you to get off to a successful start – professionally, respectfully and with a practical approach.
We require the following application documents from you:
- A cover letter telling us more about yourself
- A CV detailing your professional career
- A language certificate (German level B2) from Goethe or Telc
- Certificates of your nursing qualification in the original language and a certified translation
- Current notice of deficiencies or the acknowledgement of receipt from the Regional Office (RP) in Stuttgart regarding the recognition procedure as a registered nurse in Baden-Württemberg
- Copy of your passport (passport)
- If available: a copy of your current residence permit and the accompanying supplementary sheet
- Proof of adequate protection against measles
