Diverse & varied /
You can expect not only a wide range of activities with topics such as working with relatives, promoting self-help, prevention and aftercare, but also a varied field of activity. Possible areas of employment after graduation include clinics, rehabilitation centres and homes where patients and residents are treated or cared for as inpatients. In addition, graduates of the degree programme can also be found in the outpatient sector and care for the chronically mentally ill and addicts in workshops and assisted living facilities.
In addition to the basic qualifications in the areas of methodology, law and social sciences, the specific requirements of the field of work are also covered. The focus here is on coordinating the various healthcare services in a customised manner and showing those affected ways to a fulfilled everyday life. Seminars and methodological exercises promote the development of a reflective professional attitude in order to recognise the right level of support and offer it in a targeted manner.
The dual study programme is characterised by alternating theoretical and practical phases. The three-year degree programme is divided into 12 weeks of theory at the Cooperative State University and 14 weeks of practical work at ZfP Reichenau. It ends after six semesters with the Bachelor's thesis and the final examinations.
To be admitted to a dual study programme, you need a higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences + aptitude test as well as a training contract with a dual partner.
